Iraq Celebrates Grand-Opening of Specialized, First Instance Commercial Court

The Iraqi Higher Judicial Council (HJC) officially opened the specialized First Instance Commercial Court in Baghdad on 24 November 2010.  This Court is the first of its kind and seeks to reassure foreign companies and investors with the speedy and consistent adjudication of cases over which it has jurisdiction.
