Judge Fathi Al-Jawari (ret.) possesses a wealth of experience both on the bench and from his years as a practicing attorney. After serving as the deputy Presiding Judge of the Appellate Court in Baghdad before being seconded as the Senior Legal Expert to the Iraqi Council of Ministers. After retiring, he joined DSLM as Senior Counsel and also advises the Iraqi President's Office as a Senior Legal Expert on a part-time basis. He reviews all Iraqi laws that are submitted by the President to parliament as well as all laws that are passed and require presidential signature.

Faiza Mashaat has been in private practice for over 25 years with extensive experience in commercial transactional matters and labor law. Prior to this, she was Assistant General Manager and Director of the Legal and Personnel Department at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Mrs. Mashaat was a Legal Consultant for the World Bank-funded twinning program between the Iraqi Higher Judicial Council and the Dubai Courts in 2007. She also served on the team of experts that prepared the draft Federal Supreme Court law.
